GH Update 4/25/14

Hey again, the week's coming to a close, and here's another GH UPDATE!

This week, we were better than the last few. We know that we can't write thirty chapters in a row again (That happened a while ago), but this time we wrote five-ish chapters that are longer, coming to chapter  #60! Our struggles always include getting off topic, but we were better this week. I have edited the first 5-10 chapters and continuing. Our twist has come (Chapter 58) and hopefully it will bring more viewers to our little project, and our publishing plan is still a go.

We want to continue writing and we hope to finish at least five more chapters, along with edit just as many.

:)

May Joy: (No known name, you need to request access)

GH Update: 4/18/14

Another Friday has come at the end of a surprisingly short week. You know what that means: Another Genius Hour Update.

This week, we weren't very productive :(. We learned that we need to focus more on the book than anything else because we talked a lot and got off topic kind of easily. Our struggles included getting off topic, but we have broken out of that writers' block from last week and with the day off tomorrow, we will probably write more. (Miss Kirr calls it an extra Genius Hour). I have started to edit the old chapters and I will continue, and we have just planned a twist/cliffhanger that will come very soon... Also, our publishing plan is still in action and we are hoping to send it once it is fully edited, maybe even before we finish the book.

Basically, we want to write and edit more and our plan for next week is to write at LEAST to chapter 60.

Thanks for reading, and please keep reading!

Inspiration Pt. 2

Along with the author that visited (Now twice, almost three),  I will post here about my other inspirations, and I will post more inspirations as this goes on.

In this post, there are just two: James Patterson and George Lucas.

James Patterson has impacted the book because he writes short chapters and that is exactly what I do. I love short chapters because it is much easier to read.

George Lucas has impacted the book because I love Star Wars and a lot of content in the book is inspired from his works.

GH Update 4/9/14

Hey, guys, this is a weekly update about our GH project. you will see these each week:

This week, we have written two chapters in our book, bringing it to its 57th chapter. We learned that there will be struggles on thinking of new ideas if you are writing the book so often and writers' block will occur, a little disclaimer for others. Our struggles this week are listed above, we had trouble thinking of new ideas. Something that I will do next week is to edit the past chapters of the book and continue writing and finishing up the book. Hopefully, we will send, if not all of it, part of the book to an online publisher.

Career Day: Inspiration

On the Wednesday before Break, we had Career Day. We answered a bunch of survey questions, then we were assigned four different "classes" to learn about careers. One of mine was an author, Tim Shoemaker, and he inspired me even more to write the novel and gave me good tips. I loved learning about his series and how he became a writer, but what was most interesting is how much we had in common. Neither of us wanted to be a writer, but we both started something new and stuck with it. Although I am young and I don't fully know what I will do with my life, I hope to be inspired more and I thank him for the experience.
